What was the brief?

Allianz GI are active investors and therefore need to be able to analyse, assess and predict the behaviour of stocks in the present and in the future to be able to make the best investment decisions for their clients. Allianz GI fund managers are supported in these decisions by the reports generated by their in-house global research network, Grassroots Research. Allianz GI wanted to create a film to showcase the process and show how the investigative reports provide compelling and balanced evidence through real world data and expert insight compiled by a global network of journalists, field force investigators and industry contacts.

How did we approach the brief?

This five minute long film takes the form of an investigative documentary based around the generation of one Grassroots report. The case study approach allows us to create an engaging and visually coherent narrative whilst exemplifying the general process. The report chosen is into the use of drones in farming in America. The story of the report is told by key people involved in its generation (portfolio manager, Grassroots projects manager, reporter and analyst.)
