Gaëlle is a Franco-Brit-ish immersive and film writer/director based in London. Having lived in Asia, the US and Europe, she draws inspiration from her cultural experiences and applies them to her storyworlds.
Gaëlle trained as a director at the London Film School and holds an MA in Filmmaking and a BA in Art History and Spanish Literature. She is a classical 2D Filmmaker as well as a VR Director. Bilingual in French and English, she works in both languages and is always up for a new challenge, travelling internationally for her projects.
She is a Sundance, SXSW, Venice Production Bridge, Series Mania, Story Futures Academy and LSFF alum. Her short films include Awakening (starring Tracy Wiles, WINNER Best Drama at New York Shorts Film Festival 2015), The Feast (starring Katie Leung, WINNER Best Production Design at Underwire Film Festival 2018) and Mechanical Souls (starring Janet Hsieh, George Young and Patty Lee, WINNER Best VR Stereography at the EMEA Lumière Awards 2019). Gaëlle is currently Creative Directing the Mechanical Souls Graphic Novel adaptation in English, French and Mandarin. She has recently co-directed a billingual VR piece for the UN called “Violating Peace” to counter sexual abuse.
Gaëlle has directed branded content for Eurostar, Mandarin Oriental and British Airways across Europe, the USA and Asia. As well as extensive experience in VR and stylised high-end drama, Gaëlle is also skilled in documentary and sports content creation and animation.
