The Brief:
A World Cup of Firsts.
The film shows the connection between football and travel, and how the game brings people together and lets them experience new cultures. The film was commissioned to build anticipation for the upcoming 2022 World Cup, a tournament of firsts: the first Winter World Cup and the first World Cup in the Middle East.
The campaign was led by a 60s online hero film that shows FIFA World Cup 2022 ambassador, David Beckham, reflecting on the importance of football bringing the world together. Through projections of significant and historic World Cup moments, including some of his own, Beckham shares his passion for football and how it brings people together.
